A 150 page book containing the watercolours painted by the Reverend Richard Cobbold of a small rural village in Suffolk. Each painting is accompanied by a transcription of Cobbold’s records and descriptions of the people who lived in the homes depicted. In total Cobbold painted 111 watercolours of the cottages, pubs, mansions, farmhouses workshops and the church, giving a fascinating insight into life in Victorian rural England.
The book is printed on 170gsm silk paper, to give the paintings the best possible colour reproduction. The cover is printed on 300gsm paper, and matt laminated for extra protection.
